Why do celebrities rarely appear in video games? Actors, singers and personalities don’t frequently cross over into the world of gaming even when there is so much opportunity to do so. But things are changing. Keanu Reeves will be appearing in Cyberpunk 2077 and here are four other celebrities who should follow him in appearing in a major RPG game.

Regardless of whether you love or hate the mixed martial arts Irish fighter, you have to admit the prospect of seeing him appear in a major RPG video game is a marketing dream. The celebrity that is Conor McGregor is extremely charismatic and he certainly does have a way with words.

Even the smallest interaction with a Conor McGregor voiced over character would be totally amazing. Just think about the potential of some of Conor McGregor’s most iconic lines and quotes in-game.

Will Ferrell is absolutely hilarious and has an incredible voice to match. Previously voicing over-animated villains such as Megamind or Lord Business from The Lego Movie, from a voice-over perspective Will Ferrell could add so much to a major RPG game. Whether that’s as a villain or for comedic effect.

On top of this, Will Ferrell would be great as he has a fun presence when acting and you cannot deny he has some hilarious quotes. For instance: in the movie Semi-Pro, Will Ferrell screams at a referee “I’ll murder your family”. Will Ferrell would certainly add a fun dimension to any RPG game.

Rounding off, I would love to see Will Ferrell appear in a major RPG game as he has such an entertaining personality and he could fit into any role perfectly.

Appearing in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level, which are films about getting warped and trapped inside of a video game, and may be the closest thing to a game. Without being a game of course. It’s only natural that the next step for Kevin Hart involves appearing inside of a real video game, such as a major RPG.

If you don’t know who Kevin Hart is, have you been sleeping under his good buddy Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson? A few additions Kevin Hart could bring to a game are his sense of humour and his ability to make people laugh. I could see Kevin Hart potentially being some sort of companion you can recruit.

4. Rihanna

Rihanna appeared in the 2015 animated film HOME as the main character who befriends an alien on earth. Honestly speaking, Rihanna had a lot of fun in that role and really let her personality flow out throughout the movie. She’s also previously featured in the movie Ocean’s 8 as a hacker.

Rihanna could contribute a great voice and generate more publicity for an RPG game in even the smallest role, be it a cameo or something larger. Nevertheless, she remains a more out of the box suggestion to appear in a major RPG game.
