Essential WoW Classic Gold Farming Spots

| | , ,

WoW Classic gold is just as important as its Retail counterpart. This means you’re going to need piles and piles of it if you want to get anywhere. Upgrades, enhancements, better equipment, skills and abilities, all cost money. In order to afford these things, you’re going to have to do a bit of farming. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some essential gold farming spots that will help you earn big in WoW Classic.

Shadowfang Keep

Shadowfang Keep is a treasure trove of bind-on-equip (BoE) blue equipment. Players are willing to spend big gold on these items. All the trash mobs have a chance to drop blue gear. Running the dungeon a few times will leave you richer with these drops for sure. Notable drops are Assassin’s Blade, Shadowfang, and Night Reaver.

The Keep is a low-level dungeon, so you can do this pretty early in the game. You’ll also have no competition, as this is an instanced dungeon.

Elemental Fire

Elemental Fire is a crafting ingredient worth a pretty penny. It’s required for Fire Protection Potions, a highly sought-after potion for Molten Core raids. There’s a high demand but low supply for it, and it’s something that will always be needed. Unfortunately, most Fire Elementals are in raids or dungeons. That’s a problem for low-leveled players. It’s a good thing you can find a few in Arathi Highlands. If you’re leery about other players stealing your mobs, try moving to a less populated layer or play at an off-peak time.

Jadefire Satyrs

This is a farming spot healers can make great use of. You’ll want the Demonic Runes and Felcloth. While the runes can’t be sold, they’re a good supplement for mana potions, which you’d be using if you happen to be a spellcaster. They’re also supplies for raids, so you can prepare for your next one as you farm.

You’ll also get Felcloth, which is an important ingredient for tailors. If you’re not a tailor yourself, you can sell the cloth at the AH for a good sum. Otherwise, you can make useful things with it, such as armor for warlocks, bags, and even Moon Cloth. You can sell those as well, which should be more profitable than selling them raw.

Scarlet Spellbinders

Potential profit from this farm depends on server population and how saturated the market is. Scarlet Spellbinders have a chance to drop the recipe for Enchant WeaponCrusader. The enchantment adds a hundred to your strength. You can see that melee classes will clamor for this enchantment, at least until something better comes along.

Farming Beasts

Beasts very often drop a grey item upon death. They sell for small amounts when sold to a vendor, but they’re very easy to hoard. Many small things add up to big things. If you sell these grey items in bulk, you’ll profit in gold!

The Eye of Shadow

Going solo for this would be a little inefficient, so try having a friend or two accompany you. You’re going to be defeating Hederine Initiates or Slayers for The Eye of Shadow. It’s a trinket that’s important for crafting Benediction/Anathema, the epic staff for priests. If you’re lucky enough to get one, you can sell it for about a thousand gold. That is dependent on the state of the server, though. It could be much less. Still, that’s a significant amount you shouldn’t pass the opportunity on.

Pickpocketing

Locked for Rogue classes, you can actually go around the Scarlet Monastery rummaging through NPC pockets and pilfering their chests. Doing this for a whole day can allegedly get you enough gold for an epic mount. If your level is too low, you might get detected and that’s more trouble than its worth.

Of course, these aren’t all the possible gold farming spots. Other lists will have different content, and you might even discover your own way of farming gold. What matters is that you enjoy World of Warcraft Classic.

Have fun farming WoW Classic gold!
